RightFax Image High Availability Price Request
SQL Image Storage Overview
Organizations can now move their fax image storage from the traditional Windows file share to a SQL database with the new SQL Image Storage Module for RightFax. The largest benefit to making this move is the ability to leverage existing SQL high availability strategies to enhance your RightFax infrastructure’s overall availability.
Remember, if the shared images directory is not available for any reason, RightFax will not work.
High availability for Windows file servers often requires configuring Failover Clustering with Cluster Shared Volumes (CSVs). Implementing this strategy is complicated and results in a very complex Windows server infrastructure. However, most organizations have already taken steps to implement high availability for transactional data within their SQL infrastructure, such as configuring Always On availability groups.
